Work
is progressing well on the upgrade of Pacific Drive in Port Macquarie thanks to
a $2.5 million NSW Government grant to Port Macquarie-Hastings Council through
the Fixing Local Roads program.
Member
for Port Macquarie, Leslie Williams said Pacific Drive is one of the most
scenic coastal roadways and has been in a very poor condition for a number of
years.
“To
see these rehabilitation improvements underway is welcome news for local
motorists who use this road every day and for the thousands of tourists who
come to enjoy our stunning coastline.”
“Motorists are advised to expect minor delays while work is being carried out between Flynn and William Streets,” Mrs Williams said.
